Season 1, Episode 04 – “The suffering of a young man”
As Romelia’s unit continues its quest to defeat monsters in the frontier, they conduct a magical aptitude test at their campsite, discovering that Ray has a talent for wind magic and Al has a talent for fire magic. Filled with both hope and impatience, Ray acts recklessly, and while Romelia strictly admonishes him, she also fairly evaluates the efforts of each soldier, deepening the trust within the unit. Her efforts to repair and support villages further strengthen the soldiers’ bond, but in their next quest, they encounter demons and are cornered by an unexpectedly powerful enemy. Romelia is forced to make a decision to protect her comrades, and the soldiers are still in the process of growing. With an explosion, the battlefield descends into chaos, and their fate is shrouded in darkness…
