Plot: A house built in 1925 resists the turbulent history of an Eastern European country, being a witness of the times, but also a space that hosts destinies and human lives. Today, we see its tenants – three families; three generations – how they are destroyed by the decision of the local mobsters, in cahoots with a powerful and mysterious individual, to demolish the building. The house is, in fact, a synecdoche of Romania and we witness fights, abandonments, betrayals and alliances that are made to achieve immediate goals. An entire social class (the aristocracy) is abolished and forgotten. In the end, everything falls apart, and the “future” invades the values of the past, throwing them into the air. What remains is only the brilliance of power, at the cost of human losses.
