In this episode, property expert Amanda Lamb, presenter and JLS star JB Gill, and DJ and presenter Sam Pinkham are in SaintÉmilion near Bordeaux and deep in the heart of one of France’s best wine regions, looking for sensational and scenic retreats. Saint-Émilion sits in the heart of wine country, surrounded by vineyards first planted by the Romans as early as the 2nd century. For an area this steeped in history and winemaking, you would expect some truly incredible holiday homes. Amanda starts us off with a beautiful chateau just outside of Saint-Émilion. It has vineyard views and provincial charm, but will its basic amenities leave it out the race? JB brings us to a bijou guesthouse with a stunning garden, wine cellar, and access to the French cooking skills of the owner. Then, Sam shows us a stunning apartment in the town of Liborne. Its modern interior and imposing period exterior may clash, but will it have what it takes to pull out a win?
