John Torode and Gregg Wallace put five more keen cooks to the test in the fourth and final week of heats, and as usual they begin by serving up their Calling Card, a dish that showcases their talents. The judges’ two favourites then sit it out while the others reinvent what they’ve just made, creating a new plate of food based on the main ingredient from the first round. After this cook-off, one of the amateurs is sent home, before the remaining four prepare dinner for a trio of former MasterChef champions and runners-up, after which Friday’s first two quarter-finalists will be decided.
