They take a trip down memory lane, looking back at rare archive footage of the safari park’s first visitors and re-live the moment 50 lions were unleashed on unsuspecting Brits!
Back in the present day, Ben and Kate follow the dedicated keepers of African safari who, with the help of the Animal Park team, attempt to film the birth of Africa’s most endangered cat. If the cameras can capture this incredible moment, it will be the first time the keepers have ever seen a cheetah birth at the park. Not only a win for conservation, this is an amazing asset for the keepers as they continue their quest to breed this endangered species.
Meanwhile, the vets rush to the aid of Stephanie, an elderly and much-loved member of the zebra family. She is being bullied by the rest of the herd, but can the vets do enough to save her? And Kate goes weak at the knees when she meets a new arrival at sea lion beach, the latest addition to the Animal Park family.
