Not everyone under the Dome is your friend; quite the reverse in fact. If you’re a smart likeable character (with a high charisma rating) you might be able to talk your way out of things. But more likely it’s time for a bit of ultra-violence. And that means weapons; lots of weapons. And there’s no shortage of choice: from high tech beam weapons through to a solid right hook, there’s loads of way to bring down a hostile group of foes. Of course, you can be a pacifist and use non-lethal force but that’s a story for another day…

The hostile and unforgiving world can be a lonely place; so why not team up with some like-minded individuals and face the challenges together. From hardened criminals built like mountains or scientists with a shady past, there’s a host of different potential companions to journey with, each replete with their own unique personality and skills.

Or you can just go “Lone Wolf” and face everything alone; it’s not an easy road but you can play this way too if you so wish.

Encased is full of choices: from what sort of character you will be, what wing you will join and how honourable a person you are. What equipment do you take? How will you fight? Do you craft better weapons or armour?

And it doesn’t stop there. You will hold lives in the balance and will have to choose who survives and who perishes.

Threaten your enemies out of battle: persuade important people to give you favors. Don't have charisma for that? Then bribe them! Encased story is deep, each quest can be completed differently, depending on your stats and choices and those choices will really matter in the end, thanks to multiple game endings. Kill everyone, be a pacifist or choose anything in-between, the game will adapt to your playstyle.

Level up your own unique character: will you specialise in stealth, melee combat, sniper rifles, psionics or diplomacy? Will you be a lone wolf or a party leader? Or maybe even try to play through the game as low intellect hero? It's all up to you.
Go on a journey and learn dozens of useful abilities like hacking, mechanics, thieving or even driving. Study relics to reveal technological secrets of the Dome and then explore the lands, finding new places, anomalies and rivals. Not all of them will be humans, by the way.

Make difficult decisions: steal, assasinate or help despite any concequences. Build your reputations with one faction or try to please them all, but remember that sometimes compromises are impossible.

Encased does not use classes. The versatile system of skills and attributes allows you to customize the character the way you want.

Show your tactical skills in a turn-based battle with multiple types of enemies. Take cover, use different types of weapons and ammunition, set traps or get close to them in your power armor and give them an impression of your makeshift club! The ruins of the lost civilization are full of enemies, mutated wild animals and old battle robots. You have to use different tactics to overcome different enemies.
Make your own unique adventure thanks to the breathtaking chance encounters: create an unassailable fortress from a crashed plane, win gladiator games, escape the labyrinth of death or steal mysterious box from a street car.

And remember, the game world will react to your actions. Rescue a settlement from the Raider attack and find new trusted friends, or turn away and end the lives of the survivors and loot ruins. The choice is yours.
