Season 59, Episode 12 –
Roses are stealing the spotlight at Longmeadow, and Monty is celebrating all the full, head-turning bloom. And as part of Mental Health Awareness Week, a forager explains how her garden helped her to heal after being diagnosed with cancer.

After a drastic career change to follow her dream, one designer explains why she is using her first show to demonstrate the art of pressing flowers. There’s also a time travel visit back to the 1970s for a houseplant fanatic who’s taken her inspiration from her grandmother’s house. It’s a spring celebration not to be missed!

Season 59, Episode 08 –
Monty is busy this week as the garden bursts into colour. Woody herbs such as thyme and sage don’t thrive in his clay soil, so he’s sowing seeds to ensure a steady supply. He’s planting grasses in the new Woodland Garden and creating a colourful pot for shade, and there’s advice on what to do with this year’s daffodil bulbs. Carol Klein proves that small can be both beautiful and delicious, creating a modest border devoted to vegetables and weaving it together with flowers to provide year round colour. And Advolly Richmond heads to Fife to uncover the story of the first pink cupped daffodil, bred in the early 1900s and still growing today thanks to two passionate plantswomen. There’s a visit to a specialist nursery in Hertfordshire. With help from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, they are preparing to exhibit trees fit for a changing climate at the RHS Chelsea Flower show. And it’s all aboard a houseboat that’s jam-packed with plants.

And on a cold winter’s day, Adam Frost rolled up his sleeves to help volunteers plant 11,000 spring bulbs. Frances Tophill explored the magnolia, a tree much admired for its grace and resilience – qualities often associated with the late Queen. And Carol Klein gained access to a hidden gem of a nursery tasked with growing more than a quarter of a million plants for the Royal Parks, and uncovers the secrets of growing pelargoniums fit for a king.
