After a frantic start to the week, the 'fledge-fest' has slowed down, although the goldcrests appear to be on the verge of leaving too. The long-eared owl nest is explored in much more detail, and Iolo Williams looks into the raptors on the estate, before introducing another new nest from Wales - the goshawk.Gillian Burke is still in Yorkshire, visiting another nature reserve reclaimed for nature from its mining past. She is in the clear waters of RSPB Old Moor looking for eels, a burgeoning population of which is feeding the recovery of a very rare and secretive bird, the bittern.Up on Orkney, wildlife cameraman Raymond Bessant follows in the footsteps of his wildlife hero, Eddie Balfour - a man who dedicated 40 years of his life to the study and conservation of the hen harrier.Plus the secret world of the allotment, where the battle between aphids and parasitoid wasps is ongoing and brutal, and Michaela is on the next leg of her tour of Bristol's waterways to investigate what the locals are doing to battle plastic waste.

Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan are live again from the Gloucestershire countryside, where it has been a 'fledge-fest' since Monday night. On Monday, the show ended with high drama as one of the blackbird chicks fledged and was promptly caught and eaten by its neighbour the little owl. So how have the other three chicks fared today?Down near the river the mandarin ducklings decided it was time to make the jump too - a dramatic 3.5m launch from their treetop home, and throughout the day both the marsh tit and willow warbler chicks left home too.Taking a breath from the action, Iolo Williams took a nighttime safari around Sherborne, searching for the three species of owl in they area - the barn, tawny and little owl. He also introduces us to another new camera and yet another Springwatch first - a long-eared owl nest in Wales.And it is the final installment in the 'Lord of the Wings' epic, where we find out whether the golden eagle or the white-tailed eagle comes out on top, Michaela reports on what the residents of Bristol are doing to fight the tide of plastic in their rivers, and we go deep underwater to see a wonderful submarine garden.

Expect bad hobbit puns, fancy dress and fascinating facts about these two iconic species.Gillian Burke has moved south after her Shetland adventure, and is just outside Leeds to see how a series of disused mines have been reclaimed as spaces for nature. Despite the change only happening in the past few years, many rare birds including the black-necked grebe, bittern and spoonbill have already set up home here.The second film about Richmond Park's wildlife from Japanese filmmaker Yazuru showcases the wildlife of this urban oasis, and there is a look at wildlife artist Robert Gillmor's extraordinary and long-lived career.

Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan are live once again from the Gloucestershire countryside, where overnight events have already thrown up plenty of surprises, including yet more activity from the badger sett. The bluetit family has a surprising and rather unwelcome visitor as a great spotted woodpecker drops by to see what is going on, there is an update on our marsh tit nest, and brand new nest which is a first for the show - a mandarin duck nesting high up in a tree. Steve Backshall is down by the river, this time looking at what makes its living on the surface, including local population of grass snakes. Gillian Burke is at Sumburgh Head in Shetland, one of the most important seabird breeding sites in the whole UK. She gets up close and personal with diving gannets, and looks into the problems that both this species, and the local fulmars have with plastic. There is the second film in the series about the ravens on the Gower Peninsula, where Dartford warblers and chough also make an appearance, a piece about a young photographer and his incredible relationship with a group of urban foxes, and a visit to Yorkshire where lapwings fight to nest despite a whole host of predators and problems.
